Meet our Team

Chris Gelven
President/Owner

Chris Gelven is the owner of Gelven Properties LLC. He is 44 years old and grew up in Bel-Ridge, MO. He went to St. Thomas Moore Grade School and then to CBC High School in Clayton. He then went on to get his B.S. degree in Psychology at St. Louis University. Chris continued his education by going to paramedic school at St. John Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. After he obtained his paramedic license, he moved to Oklahoma City where he became an Oklahoma City Firefighter/Paramedic. He worked there for 6 years before deciding to come back home. At that time, he joined the Monarch Fire Protection District (formerly known as the Chesterfield Fire Protection District), where he is still employed as a Captain/Paramedic at House 1 on the ladder truck.

Steve Kirdy
Construction Project Manager

Steve Kirdy is the construction project manager of Gelven Properties LLC. Steve is 44 years old and was born and raised in Punta Gorda, FL. Following high school, Steve joined the US Marine Corp and served in the infantry division for the next 8 years. During his time in the military he was deployed numerous times to such places as Haiti, Cuba, and Panama. When he retired from the military, he married and moved to the St. Louis area, his wife's home town. They had 2 children, Francesca who is 15 years old and Teddy who is 14 years old. Steve is a dedicated father and is very involved with his children's extra-curricular activities. Steve enjoys traveling, camping, fishing, and boxing.

Sam Gelven
Sales Manager

Sam Gelven is the sales manager of Gelven Properties LLC. He is 30 years old and grew up in Bel-Ridge, MO. He went to Our Lady of Presentation Grade School and then to CBC High School in Clayton. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree of Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Business at Columbia College in Columbia, MO. Sam has played soccer since the early age of 4 and continued to play with a soccer scholarship in College. He then persued his life long dream of playing soccer professionally for 3 years following his college graduation. He was fortunate to play for the St. Louis Lions Professional Development League team, the Vermont Voltage PDL team and professionally for a team in Melbourne, Australia for 1 year.
